Photography Workshop by Hwa Chong Institution (HCI) (College Section) 

Over the March holidays, FRCS FSC in collaboration with Studio Ardent, a service and enrichment-based co-curricular activity in HCI (College Section) organized a two-day virtual photography workshop on 15 and 16 March 2021. The workshop saw five participants aged 10 to 15 years old, eager to learn about basic photography and photo editing. The workshop aimed to equip participants in applying the knowledge acquired and developing basic skills to become proficient in basic photography, in hopes to supporting them in discovering a potential interest or hobby in the media arts.

Math and Science Workshop Series by Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), ACS(I)

FRCS FSC in partnership with a group of Year 5 students from ACS(I) organized a series of 8-session virtual workshops for the school going children aged 9 to 13 years old. Facilitated by ACS(I) students, the workshop series held across a span of four weeks starting from 31 May to 23 June 2021, were attended by a total of eight participants.

The workshop presented the participants with opportunities to carry out captivating experiments such as crafting ‘model lungs’ and creating their own ‘space lander’. The materials were provided by the ACS(I) students and delivered to the participants’ doorstep by the FSC. Participants were also engaged through online games and quizzes to apply the knowledge they have acquired. Well received by the participants, the workshop series saw a success in bringing out their interests in Mathematics and Science as they immersed themselves in the interactive games and fun experiments.
