Parent-Child Grow (PCG) is an initiative developed by FRCS Family Service Centre that focused on families with children aged 0–12 years by incorporating teachings and principles of Positive Parenting Programme (Triple P).
PCG supports parents who have concerns about their children’s behaviour or development, by increasing their confidence and competence in parenting. The programme also aims to reduce parents’ use of coercive and punitive methods to discipline children, improve communication between them regarding parenting issues, and lessen parenting stress associated with raising children.
The RainTree Project (RTP) is a comprehensive 12-month programme designed to support ex-offenders and their families. With the support of the Yellow Ribbon Cares, this initiative assists individuals recently released from prison by guiding them in overcoming hurdles such as restoring family ties, dealing with social stigma, and building resilience.
This is achieved through the various activities and programmes that help participants Reintegrate and Transform towards achieving Progress for themselves and their families.
Through mentorship, counselling, and skill-building activities, RTP emphasises targeted support for participants to:
-
Reintegrate successfully: Develop practical skills and a supportive social network through volunteering and mentorship. -
Strengthen family connections: Rebuild family bonds and enhance communication among family members. -
Cultivate personal resilience: Gain confidence and emotional resilience to navigate life’s challenges.
